New Jingles

Banking On The Future...
In the 1990’s, financial services looked like “Fantasy Island,” with commercial and investment banking stumbling upon riches everywhere.

In 2004, the more apt analogy may be “America’s Most Wanted”, as the financial industry entered the new year stalked by scandal and some of the largest institutions embroiled in unfair trade practices.

In my opinion, now would be the perfect time for the smaller local institutions to really capitalize on ethics using customer friendly, warm and fuzzy ads.

“Your Hometown Bank and You” has that friendly, hometown bank appeal. This ear catching Doo Wop has a nostalgic feel that will appeal to the Gen Xer’s as well as the old money.  If you want a unique
“stand-out” track, this one’s for you!

Featured Cut & Sales Tip of The Month

Are You A Garden Tender?
The seeds you plant today become tomorrow’s business!

( May is National Home Improvement month )
Decorative gardening sales continue to increase as consumers take the inside outside.

Having focused their attention on their home’s interior for the past 20 years or so, American’s now are also turning their passion for decorating to the outside.

Decorative gardening has increased, as people are spending money on their homes despite a sluggish economy.  The home improvement industry is one of the few categories seemingly unaffected by the recession, although small, independent retailers are suffering.  The cause? National chains.  In order to survive, local retailers must advertise.  They must establish themselves as the home improvement destination; and they must do it on something other than price, because they generally can’t compete on price point.

What drives a consumer to their local home improvement store?  #1  Price, #2  Selection,  #3   Knowledgeable and friendly service,  #4   Location.

In a Harris Interactive survey, 25% of homeowners said they would like to receive or give a home improvement related gift during the holiday season.

Why not try a Christmas in July promotion?  Suggest selling gift certificates now.  How about running a promotional giveaway?  For everyone who buys a gift certificate, they can be entered into a drawing to win a free kitchen of their dreams, or an appliance, a deck, etc.  Think out of the box.

Featured Cut & Sales Tip of The Month

Risky Business
Once you’ve closed the sale, don’t walk away without the money at all costs.  If you don’t get the money today, tomorrow something else will happen within that business that will take precedence.

Farmers know exactly when to harvest and they also know that if they wait even one day longer, disaster can strike without warning.  Why work so hard up to that point to get the sale and then walk away when it counts most? Don’t miss this final step.  Reap what you have sown.
